Vinterdrömmar

Uppgiften (i nionde klass) var att göra en muntlig redovisning på engelska och framföra den utan stödord inför klassen. Ämnet fick de välja själva. Han valde att berätta om något han gillar väldigt mycket och förberedde sig noga genom att först skriva ner allt. Berättelsen blev en härlig mix av fakta och drömmar:

My favourite hobby is snowboarding.

I started snowboarding when I was 9 years old and before that I went skiing. I started snowboarding because i saw some kids snowboarding and thought it looked very cool. So I tried snowboarding and it was so much fun so I stopped skiing and just went snowboarding.

I have bin to some different places, for example Kläppen, It was there I started skiing, and in Sälen there i started snowboarding. I have also been in Trysil in Norway. It was really nice there because the lops where pretty long. But it was really expensive there and pretty windy at the top. But the best place I have binned to is Ramundberget. Not because they had the best skis lops, it was because they had the best after ski with a band named Nyfikengul that I loved!

My favourite brand is Burton! Burton was created in the late 70's by Jake Burton Carpenter. Today has Burton become the largest manufacturer of snowboards and snowboard clothing all over the world. Burton has also created more brands (visa bild) for example Analog that makes snowboard clothing, Anon that makes goggles and Gravis how makes footwear.

Like most sport snowboarding was born out of the desire to play. The history of snowboarding isn't as long as the history of skiing. When it comes to snowboarding facts, you might be interested to know that the sport can trace its origins back to the 1920s. This is farther back than you might have anticipated. Snowboard was inspired by surfing and skateboarding and was invented by Sherman Poppen. The first snowboard looked basely like two skies together. Snowboarding become a Winter Olympic sport in 1998 and In 2000 snowboarding became the fastest-growing sport in the US.

I have spoken to some guys that knows snowboarding really well and they have told me that the best board you can buy (if you not a pro) is the Burton Antler board. So my dream right now is to buy the Antler board. And with this board i want to go to the Alps in Austria. I want to go there because the ski lops are very long and I am study German in school and I want to youse it in real life! My style is not to jump and makes trixs in the air or jump in half pipes. I like to just snowboarding in the ski lops and beside lops. I also like to make trick on the grown.

 

 

Redovisningen gick bra, det blev ett A. Han har visserligen inte varit i alperna än men drömmen om att prova en Antler-bräda blev sann bara några veckor senare på Vemdalsskalets skidtestardagar under jullovet.
